a great trip in the states, four states and some of Route 66 on the back of a large black Harley Davidson....no room in the paniers for running shoes, I barely had room for a spare pair of knickers! Did however run for a v. short time in my tevas along the path on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, and when we got back to our friends' house in Denver I did get out a couple of times, hard work at altitude, but since returning, despite a touch of sciatica, ( result of the bike ride or the cramped conditions on the plane??) I have been on a couple of runs and the difference has been marked. Wow, I can run a few miles without getting out of breath! If altitude can make such a difference to a waddler like me, imagine what it can do for real athletes...

Delighted to hear you are getting back to running Andy. You pictures of Ireland are gorgeous, all that beautiful countryside and guiness too - yum.
