Andy,
Got the FLM mag in the post yestrday and read the article on Hash House Harriers. Immediately I thought of you.....running and beer!! Took a look at http://www.hhh.org.uk and was quite amazed at the size of the hashing community. Take a peek. It might be the answer to your prayers....

Yes, I saw it as well, and had a similar train of thought.
That said, one of the ideas of running is to keep me out of the pub, so I'm not sure it's quite for me. In fact, thinking about it, after a run I really don't feel like drinking alcohol at all. I guess the exception is after a race, when you know you can have a break for a few days.
But like you, I was taken aback by the number of hashing clubs. Great slogan too ("For drinkers with a running problem").
