Old Grey Whistle Test - Seafront Plodder - 06-05-2010

Whiling away a while whilst waiting.....

Go to You Tube and type in 'Old Grey Whistle Test', to get immersed in a world of old recordings of classic artists before they made it.

I guarantee it'll keep you out of mischief for hours. Thus far Fat Loaf * is entertaining me.

OGWT was a ground-breaking late night music show of the 70's and early 80's, on which there was a lot of crap, but many artists of icon status also plied their trade there whilst looking for that break.

* Worth seeing for the radio commentary part alone. The end ain't bad either.

I must confess I do like that song, although the end of that performance is a little startling. It's just great to imagine that kind of thing being current and making it onto mainstream TV, when there were only 3 channels.

A good pisstake of the fat bloke here.
