Far from dry July. - Mid Life Crisis Marathon Man - 08-07-2013

Holidays are a hoot, all the more so when you spend them on the far side of the planet. Thus far I have been dumbstruck in Dubai, enchanted by Ireland, surprised by England and am currently trying to come to grips with the weirdness of The Netherlands. Tomorrow will be Germany as we travel south towards Italy.

Running has taken a back seat whilst a triumvirate of touring, eating and drinking has driven the MLCMM bus these last three weeks. However I have managed a couple of outings, including a 6km jog at dawn today around the waterfront (of which there is a great deal) in Amsterdam. Early morning runs in foreign lands should be a scintillating part of travelling, and it was, but I couldn't help notice that the wobbly belly and total loss of core strength were making a simple run a bit of a chore. Must. Do. More.

Am looking forward to a promised run up Black Cap with Sweder and Seafront Plodder in three weeks or so, so I need to keep in shape for that.

More soon!

Don't worry, you won't have much to keep up with! Just off out for a wobble around Lake Buena Vista here in steamy Orlando. It'll be a sweatfest

NEWSFLASH***MLCMM has arrived in the land of Seafront Plodder and Sweder. Drinking of alcohol may be involved.

Blackcap awaits, as does a barrel-load of Harveys.

Well the MLCMM clan have been safely deposited at the station for the last leg of their epic adventure that takes them from Gatwick to Switzerland, the home of The Big Cheese.

Safe travels chaps, it was great to see you once again and I hope you enjoyed your slice of Sussex and the odd pint of Harveys.

The Harveys was superb. Sussex? That was superb too. The epic adventure to be written up soon ... thanks chaps for the hospitality, it was all great fun!
