2015 part II - glaconman - 02-06-2015 To keep Charlie happy here's abit of an update from The North. May 17th - Calderdale Way Fell Relay Teams of 12 run in pairs around the Calderdale Way in this annual celebration of off- road running. Leg 3 for me. About 6 miles and most of it uphill from Todmorden to Blackshaw Head. Running with somebody 30 years younger kept me on my toes. Calder Valley, Barlick and Holmfirth was the 1,2,3. May 20th - Kildwick Fell Race A cheeky mid-weeker from a nearby settlement with a decent pub and a runnable parcours. What dreams are made of in The World According To Glaconman. May 25th - Ilkley Trail Race More runnable running thrills from over the hill in Wharfedale. With beer tokens for prizes. I nearly wept with joy at the finish. May 31st - Malham Kirby Fell Race I helped flag and marshall this event then swept the U18 race before finishing well in the senior race. A well earn beer or three I thought. Sleep guaranteed after an epic day. Junior G at Malham On the turn at Kildwick |
