May 2016 - Sweder - 15-05-2016 April was a wash, so we go again. Sunshine, pollen and dry tracks herald the return of ... the Vibram Five Fingers. A 3.5 kilometre hilly off-road jaunt on a pleasantly warm afternoon. My feet feel like they've had the most wonderful massage, and I hate myself a soupçon less than I have in recent weeks. More of this sort of thing. RE: May 2016 - El Gordo - 15-05-2016 Good man. I have some VFFs but they seem rather outré in this easily bruised community. Which is a pathetic attempt to justify not using 'em. I think the real reason is that they are not footwear items suited to fat people like me. RE: May 2016 - Sweder - 22-05-2016 Curate's egg of a Sunday session, 12.75 kilometres all told, but there's more to it than that. First off a gentle lope into town to join the Twittenistas, all two of them, for what turned out to be a pretty-much non-stop lung-scorcher. A break at Ground Coffee, where family 5ussex Girl joined us. Her progeny devoured a croissant as big as his head before I took the road home, collected the hounds, swapped roadies for offies and set about a short loop of the chalk pits. Disjointed and, Twittens apart, far from taxing, yet a good two hours mostly running. Time on my feet. Felt like progress, that's for sure.
