J-J-J-Jive Walking - Mid Life Crisis Marathon Man - 01-01-2018

Happy New Year everyone ... I trust all you RCers will have a tremendous twelve months ahead of running and/or fitness and general mayhem happiness...

2017 in terms of running nose-dived for me in the final quarter there, but I maintained a modest level of fitness through quite a lot of walking. Now to build on that with some overalll fitness, strength-training etc., and return to ruddy good health, with not so much focus on big running races which require just too much time and effort. But there perhaps should be a race or two in there somewhere, I trust.

I saw in the New Year at work, covering the night shift again, so no revelling or imbibing for me. It's now 4 in the afternoon of New Year's Day and i haven't had a drink yet! I'm looking to put that right this evening, before embarking on my new fitness regime (whatever form that takes) tomorrow. Oh, that almost sounds like a New Year's resolution. I don't generally make those. Oh well, maybe I'm at that stage of life where it's actually rather important.  Yeah, OK. That will do.

But I do need that drink first. Cheers, everyone!
