Two Oceans - April 2007 - Sweder - 04-06-2006 Hi all. I mentoned to Chris and Rog (and anyone else who'll listen) that I'm heading for Cape Town next April to take on the Two Oceans marathon. It's a 35 mile race (or in my case a run/ walk) and claims, rightly in my view, to be 'the most beautiful marathon in the world'. If we can get a few more people interested we may be able to negotiate a decent group rate with one of the airlines (both Virgin and BA currently service Cape Town). Accomodation, food and drink are VERY reasonable. Here's a couple of links to whet your appetite: Two Oceans official site Sweder's diary entry from November last year Some of my entries have photos - click on the highlighted links to view them. Interested? Drop a reply to this post. I'll publish proposed dates, estimated costs etc here as we go along. Here's a couple more photos for you from my trip last November . . . Two Oceans - April 2007 - Onewithwind - 04-06-2006 Good on you Andy. Hey Ash,do you realise you only get a medal for running these 35 miles if you come in in under 7 hours? I'm sure you realise how devastated I would be not to get a medal. On the brighter side, I see you can buy one if you enter. You can actually buy the Sainbury's medal which comes just above the bronze. Ha ha a plan. In all seriousness, I think a blue medal is probably do-able. A bronze possibly do-able with a strong following wind the whole way. |
