The Rainforest Foundation UK presents the 4 SEASONS CHALLENGE: Four races, one challenge. Run one. Run them all..
Four 10K races held in four parks across North, South, East and West London, each one taking place in a different season of the year, and all to benefit one of the UK’s most important human rights and environmental charities, the Rainforest Foundation UK.
The first race takes place on Sunday April 3rd at the Old Deer Park in Richmond, followed by events in Hackney Marshes, Finsbury Park and Crystal Palace throughout the year.
The event will start at 10.30am with a 1K Fun Run for kids under 9, where parents are welcome to run with their children. Followed by and extra 1K for all ages "Run with your Mum" to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The main 10K race will start at approximately 11.30am.
The race is been organized in conjunction with 2:09 Events. Ensuring that the course, its measurement, the timing, health and safety and marshalling all meet professional standards. The course is mainly on tarmac roads and paths and enables runners to take in the beautiful surroundings of the park.
The 4 Seasons Challenge is one of the Rainforest Foundation biggest fundraiser of the year and all the money raised through the event will help protect the rainforests of the world and the communities living within them, both of which are under threat every day.
