Recent Website Problems...
Hi Everyone

We've been off-line for the last 3 days.

There was a technical problem that I won't bore you with, other than to say that the hosting company to whom I bow, and whose shoes I polish each morning before I even visit the lavatory, and whose bank account I enrich on the last day of every month, had a problem with some unidentified customer, whose website contained some unspecified, poisonous code that killed the server.

So we've all had to move to another server.

I'm very sorry about this.

Phew.

I popped home at lunchtime, expecting to spend the best part of an hour on the phone to the hosting company, pitifully scrounging assistance to try again to get this forum back online. The latest upload I did at 7 this morning seemed not to have worked when I tried a couple of hours later.

But what a surprise to find a mail telling me that "Nigel has just posted...."

Hurrah!

This has been a horrible few days, and I can only apologise for the interruption to service. The chaos has extended well beyond this site to the other 30 or so domains I look after in my spare time, so I'm hoping this is the light at the end of the tunnel.

It's good to be back. I have a few diary entries to upload which I'll do later.
