Running vests?

. . . the 2009 RC Team Vest. The design is deliberately simple and, whilst very much a first effort, will be the one we go with for Almeria as time is a-pressin'.

Final pricing etc. will be determined by demand - initial indicators suggest a maximum of 25 quid per vest, hopefully less. A formal on-line order form is under construction, complete with online payment options, of which more later. For now I'd really like an indication of numbers and sizes required.
The usual sizes are available: S .. M .. L .. XL .. XXL .. SP

Perhaps the best way to do this is if you can PM me with your provisional requirements - this will enable me to get an order in to the good people at John Roberts before Christmas and therefore in plenty of time for Almeria. The vests are of good charity vest quality - JR design and produce the JDRF Team Pingu vests for FLM and they are excellent.

Just for a bit of background, we talked about a few different designs and thought about having a poll, but decided that this might lead to too much pointless discussion. We want to get the order in before Christmas so that the shirts can be ready for Almeria and the spring racing season. We'll take all comments on board for the next version.

Apart from being a smart addition to your running wardrobe, in these difficult financial times, we urge you not to underestimate the investment potential of these prestigious garments.

We'll settle on a price once we get the final cost from the manufacturers, but I'm hoping for something closer to £20 + postage, which compares well with other high quality running vests.

So -- I suppose I'd better actually place an order. I'll take 2 x XL please.

We haven't considered teeshirts this time around. Trouble is, realistically, we are likely to have a pretty small order, so it's logistically impossible to have all the different styles, genders, sizes, colours... we have to keep it as simple as possible.

Thanks to those who have PM'd their orders in. Without wishing to sound pushy anyone else who'd like to order a vest please note I'd like to get the order in early next week (to be in well before Christmas and so be available in good time for Almeria). I will order a few extra in each size to meet late orders and the occasional site enquiry but obviously this surplus will be limited due to outlay.

For anyone worried about shelling out before Xmas there's nothing to pay until January.

I just got confirmation from the supplier that technical T shirts - Max Athlete for those in the know - are also available (same design as vests). These cost GBP 3 more each that the vests (so around GBP 23 per T). Feel free to let me know via PM or e-mail if you'd like one (or two). Don't forget your size(s).

Two reasons for this:
1) a few people had expressed interest in technical Ts and I wanted to give them a chance to add/ change the order
2) I was utterly wasted and of no use to man nor beast yesterday
