December 2011...

RE: December 2011...
All super positive MLCM! The future's bright. My ideal level conditioning would also be to be able to knock out a half without any additional training - to be on half marathon standby, as it were - plus to complete one marathon a year. I've gone a bit low-tech recently, what with going back to nature offroad, and with my slight injury problem I stopped timing my runs, plus my (analogue) watch broke a few weeks ago. So several of my spreadsheet columns are remaining empty at the moment. Glad to see you will be satisfying some of my stat cravings!

Well Dan, there's a lot to be said for running stat-free so to speak. I found it quite liberating for a while there to be honest. However, I am now back in the fold of the number crunchers and thanks to EG and Sweder (for the tip), I have now installed SportTracks and am loving it, although there is so much info there I think I need to add a second monitor to the beast.

Tomorrow is New Year's day and I kick off my 2012 campaign (whatever that may be) with an early run to check out a new 15/16km circuit around the local streets. More data for the spreadsheet ... joy!

Happy New year everyone! Make it a big year of running, ok?
Run. Just run.

I undertand that sentiment. Heck, I applaud it. But for some of us, stats are everything. The spreadsheet is a record. And if it wasn't for that record, who would ever know you did it?

Hurrah to that!
