Well, EG, if you can walk you can do the 9 k fun run. You can also encourage M. and S. to do it walking. i've got a colleague who is going to do the race just walking. He's also a teacher of English.

Hope you're much better.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Exclamation  HELP!
Does anyone have a copy of the photo of me and Niguel crossing the line in the first (2005) Almeria half? I wanted to send it to Antonio but I can't find it on the forum. I suspect it was in Niguel's diary, which is no longer online.

Many thanks
Ash

In other news, I have (just) entered the race.
Phew! Almost missed out ...

I'll look on my home computer. But wouldn't it be part of the CD that Antonio's brother made for each of us?

No, Suzie, the photo S. is looking for is the official one at the finish. I've been looking for it but I haven't found it. I've sent a mail to the webmaster I got the photos from just in case he still has them. In the 2005 website, I just found out his race number but not the photos.

Saludos desde Almería

Thanks Suzie. I still have that CD, but as Antonio suggests it doesn't contain that photo.
I know MLCMMan had one because he altered the finish time on the clock. I guess these were all posted in another part of the site.

I still have the same PC as I did back then. Hmm ... be right back ...

I didn't study their shorts as much as you did, Dan, but I was struck by the youthfulness of 'the lads' and the elderliness of Sweder's computer. I can feel some fundraising coming on.

Here goes another one as a homage to the pioneers who came here from the Uk and Canada in 2005.

Brings back some great memories - can't believe it's been 9 years! We haven't aged a bit.

Yes, the shorts are a little baggier these days. As, through necessity, are the shirts.
The PC is one of the original Dell Inspiron desktops. It sits in the corner of my home office, like Deep Thought, slightly cobwebbed, pondering the Ultimate Question. I use other tools these days but I don't have the heart to send her off to the scrapyard.

What a cracking photo this is. The original Almeria Armada. Funny to think, SP and I aside, we'd met each other for the first time just the day before. This occasion lead to running adventures in all parts of the world, up mountains, across thousands of miles and several continents. Not to mention a few hangovers and some rather special friendships.

It's been a heck of a decade. That Tim Berners-Lee has a lot to answer for.
