As the Churchill Insurance nodding dog would say . . .
Oh yes!

This is what I've been looking for - anyone else up for it?
Judging by the photos on the main site page it's open to all shapes, sizes and abilities . . .
and it looks like a lot of fun.

. . . took the plunge and got in!
Standing by for a deluge of horror stories about leeches and foot-rot . . .

You're mad, mate.

I've looked at this race before but I couldn't face it.

December? A good month for running, but running through water?

I suppose stranger things have happened, but I'm afraid I've no immediate plans to join you.

If you want a tough race, I think you need to have a look at http:http://www.toughguy.co.uk.

What about this?

I've provisionally put my name down.

18 Feb 2006. It's 54 miles long, but you pretty much have as long as you want to complete it (though I think 12 or 13 hours seems like a noble target).

Anyone fancy doing it with me? I'll aim to do it on my own if necessary, but would be good to have company. Otherwise, well, you know, it might get sort of forgotten about......

I'd like to have tried that, although it sounds like you need to take a good book with you . . . sadly it falls the day before the Sussex Beacon (Brighton) Half, and I've already registered for that one.

http://www.sussexbeacon.org.uk/about.htm

It was my first ever half, and I've PB'd in it each year for the past three.
My major goal in 2006 is a sub. 1:50 half and I'd love to do it on the 19th of Feb.

Good luck though Andy - I'm sure there'll be someone out there who'd like to go with you.
