Re the knee, well done on a sensible decision. Big-picture wise, I guess all runners suffer injuries at some point. Rest it, get it sorted, and find a low-impact, lard-busting / endorphin-scoring alternative to tide you over. Maybe harder will be filling the spiritual void. But I'm guessing the dogs won't walk themselves, so perhaps you'll still have some walks on the downs to compose your customary erudite proclamations. Mend quickly mate.

Great Floyd flier BTW. (Sorry to actually use the F-word.) Appears a little tame by modern standards ("1000 Watt Freak-Out!" Pardon?), although I suspect that today it's only the talk that is tougher (except that these days the bar extension would be till 11.45 am.).

Many people may hate them, but I really like the club fliers that are cable-tied to every traffic light these days. I may not understand a single word on them, but they're a cultural icon.
