Point to Pinnacle 2011

With my first year I had a long sleeve thermal on... however it was an overkill, especially for the first part of the course, so for the second year I had a few warm layers of clothing and placed them on the "gear bus". The organisers provide this service at the starting line for runners/ walkers to collect at the finish. As long as you don't place valuables on-board your gear should be safe! In saying that though a lot of participants run/ walk with a backpack.

As for training, I'm not the right person to ask... I complete (not compete!) this course for "FUN" and had one of my first jogs since the last P2P yesterday and it feels like I have daggers stuck in my legs! I simply try to do a few 5 or 10km jogs a week. However, if you can, I'd advise to try to train with hill work... the second half of the course is hard part!!

Welcome TS. Three P2P virgins heading your way. Any tips/ pointers greatfully received. Doing a bit of hill work of course. My main concern is clothing. Presume this starts warm and ends a bit nippy? Rucksack needed? If so it would be good to train with one.
