I agree to the extent that I think night running on your own can be very spooky. And perhaps it's something best undertaken with a group. But it does have it's merits.

I'm only just finding out about the incredible pedigree of runners that have eminated from this area. They used to call this part of Airedale (around Keighley and Bingley) The Rift Valley because it produced such a high number of quality distance runners.

Probably the same where you are.
