It depends. In Western Europe many adult stoats opt for the Stoataltonsilectamy for their young. This avoids complications in later life such as mumps, which can prove fatal for hedgerow based mammals. It's a delicate operation usually performed along the Riverbank in late summer, and requires the interventon of Ratty and Mole.

Are you first generation Antipodean stoat, or is your family line well established? Do Southern Hemisphere stoats follow a similar prevantative path or are they more 'on the edge', risk-taking creatures?

There are, I fear, more questions than answers.
