These are good. I can identify with a lot of these stories.
I agree with the chap who spent the first half of the marathon dodging and weaving to keep to his split times. It was more like rugby than running! On my entry my estimated time was 4 hrs, which means all those ahead of me must have given estimated times which were faster. I don't understand how I could spend 18 miles constantly overtaking if these people were supposed to be running faster than me.
Still, can't complain really, as my finishing time was 4 hrs 15mins- somewhat slower than I estimated! Developed terrible pain in my thighs at 20 miles. It took me 45mins to run the last 3 miles.
