Two weeks to go

Completed my last double-digit run last night - a little over 12 suburban miles. I last ran the same route in January, on my way up the mileage ladder, and this time round I knocked three minutes off the time while running at a very relaxed pace. Amazing what three months' consistent (if gentle) training can do, if you're lucky enough to get through it without injury - and tales around here have made me realise I'm pretty lucky to have done that (fingers crossed) for the third consecutive marathon.

I saw a lot of old friends at a christening on Easter Sunday. My reasons for running a marathon (especially in fancy dress) haven't started to become any more easily explainable.

Getting quite excited now. All runs at easy pace from now on. Woohoo!
