As someone who has also abandoned several race campaigns, I sympathise completely. It's hard to get over the feeling of failure, however you do get through that and soon realise that a 'DNS' isn't defeat but actually a triumph of wisdom and common sense over stubbornness. There will be many more races worthy of your attention in the years ahead. Meanwhile, relax and rest and you will race ready again soon enough.
