Maintenance on db

Hi guys

I'm wrestling with the db and need to do a backup and recreate a table. I hope this isn't the last ever message.

Looks like we survived.

I'm finally moving the site over to Florida, as mentioned a few months ago. I think the warmer climes will do me good.

The idea is to move, then upgrade the forum software to the newer version.

There may be a minor bump or two felt in the next couple of days, but with a bit of luck we won't lose anything.

And you know what? I'm just thinking of restoring the site to how it was for a bit.

Will post a running update very soon.

Glad we made the jump to hyperspace without meeting any catastrophic debris along the way I've noticed a fairly dramatic drop-off in visitor traffic - to be expected with the password access and all. Be interesting to see if that reverses if you restore the old set-up.
