Well, maybe not perfect, but at least you have the opportunity to paddle afterwards! Has anyone done the early entry to London? I sent mine in last week, it appears they are scrapping the automatic entry after 5 rejections. I'd really like to do it in 2012 in honour of my 60th - if I'm still standing.
Phew this is hard work !

That same afternoon I was on Worthing beach, and caught sight of a dog-walking guy with a finisher's medal. I congratulated him and we got chatting. He explained how hot he found it, and how he had to stop for a St John's massage after 21 miles. He had my total empathy, right up until the moment he told me he'd blown up and finished in 3:11
He did mention the run up to the power station though, and also likened it to Docklands, which Dan also mentions in his excellent report. Apparently there was a banner up around there announcing Welcome To Hell.
