Recovery run - how long?
Thinking of going for one of these after my season's best 9 miler yesterday.

Not really done one of these before, anyone any idea how long it should be? I thought about 3 miles.

Ditto Old Bean. I thought 30 minutes (roughly 3 miles) at snails' pace.
Looks like a nice evening for it too Smile

Me too. I need to recover from last night's bottle of wine and this lunchtime's massive slab of chocolate cake.

3 gentle miles is fine, I'd say.

I had intended to go out, really I did. How was I supposed Mrs SP had had a beef casserole on the go in the slow cooker all afternoon? Herb dumplings, garlic mashed potatoes...you know the sort of thing. A feast that makes you feel like bursting, and is illegal to eat without a couple of glasses of Rioja.

Just waddled round the block with the dog. That'll be my recovery run then.Sad

Yeah, tough to defy Mrs SP, especially when armed with garlic mash.
Seeing as I bailed out last Monday, it's fair enough. Just off out the door meself, lad . . .

I'm sure Mrs SP's dumplings were indeed a temptation, but a run should always come first.

Under no circumstances try to attempt the two simultaneously...

... or you could spill your Rioja.
Run. Just run.
