Connemarathon dates were set well before BM was announced. There was some confusion as to the date of BM (not least in my mind). Nutshell: anyone doing BM was always unlikely to sign up for an offshore Guinness-fest less than a week before & vice versa.

Had I been doing the half in Connemara I might have thought about BM when the dates were confirmed ... but that's all history now.
