Bewlastic July
Sunday 3rd July

Today I was lining up for one of our late friend Moyleman's favourite races, The Bewl 15. Only three years ago I took my van to the race with Moyleman, Shaun and Alan. I didn't know Moyleman's mate Sweder at this time but we had arranged to pick him up by Lewes Prison but unfortunately the plans changed and Sweder couldn't make it. This day is a fond memory for me of Moyleman, mainly because it was the last bit of quality time that I spent with him and his last race before he was struck down with illness. Had we known at this time the events of the following months I'm sure that Sweder would have been there to share this time with us too.

I remember agreeing to run steady with Moyleman but the gun went and he started sprinting off to the first stile. We were queueing up to climb over the stile when he decided this wasn't good enough and he took off and hurdling over the fence and this was the last I saw of him in the race. So much for running steady together!!Moyleman ran 1:56 and I followed in 1:58. After the race we had a little gathering in the van with coffee, food and lager before driving home.

More to come here .....
Almeria Half Marathon 2017
The Grizzly 2017
That's it for now!!
