For Lewes locals, and SP, who sometimes dips his thingummy into the folk music cauldron, the Lewes Con Club is hosting Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman on Thursday 18 May. 

Kathryn Roberts and Kate Rusby were a fabulous folk duo who I saw many times in the folk club pubs around Leeds and Huddersfield in the 90s. Kate has gone on to become truly famous (as in Albert Hall / Andrew Marr Show-famous) while Kathryn has won a variety of BBC annual awards. She married Sean Lakeman, another celebrated folkie a few years ago, and they continue to make sweet music together. They are a sort of David and Victoria Beckham of the folk world, if you can imagine such a thing:
