Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain
Apologies to the non-Brits in our little community, but have people been following "Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain" on BBC2? Just saw the final, brilliant episode.

What an absolute 'must-watch' of a series it's been. Despite the criticism they get, and sometimes even deserve, it's things like this that make me realise how choofin' irreplaceable the BBC can be.

I'm already gagging for the repeats.

I met someone here yesterday (in Istanbul) who saw the first episode. They were raving about it - if anyone has recorded this I'd love to borrow a copy.

The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph

I heard it was good, so I bought the book. A heavy tome, but I hope to read it on the beach in August.
