Bristol Half Marathon (or any other Half!)
Hello Fellow Forumites!

It's been a long time since I've posted; but I have popped by to read the forum most weeks.

Anyway, for those of you who may be entered in the Bristol Half in a few week's time, I have chanced upon the following "humorous" training guide. I'm quite sure the author of it was inspired by our own Andy.

What a fantastic training schedule. I really like it, especially number 3 and number 17!

Hi Griff, good to hear from you again. I was thinking I should get in touch.

Is Bristol still open? It's touch and go whether I'll be there. I'd presumed I'd be in Poland, but they changed the date of the Warsaw half so we've pretty much abandoned the idea of going till next year. But may be going to Ireland instead.

STOP PRESS: just checked the website, and the race is now full.

Incidentally, the Bath Half will be open for entries soon, but I was a bit fed up about the organisation last year, so will probably give it a miss next time. Count me in for the Hogweed Trotters 10K again though Smile

Bristol's closed now and I dithered and missed the boat. I've got a friend who might be ready for it but has got a place, so I've offered to take his number if he drops out.

I'm thinking of missing Bath too next year. How about Stroud?

By the way, the Hogweeds are contemplating staging a half marathon next year.

Incidentally............

........if any fellow forumites have entered Bristol Half and need to drop out, I might be able to use their entry. (Blokes preferably - don't really fancy running around my home city with a pink number. People might talk!)

Cheers
Griff

Hi Griff, good to hear from you.

When's the Stroud Half? I could be interested, as long as I can negotiate those domestic waters that can get a bit choppy when the subject of races comes up.

Keep us updated with news of the Hogweed races.

Cheers

Hmmmm.

Hmmmm.

I keep saying that there's no chance of me doing the Dublin marathon on Oct 25th, but...

I think I'll wait a bit before making a definite decision.

Cheers

Andy, I don't know if I can get down there, and it doesn't quite fit in with my plans at the moment, but I read on one of the Spanish forums that Oporto is holding it's very first marathon on the 17th October. If you want details I can find their website - could be an alternative to Dublin.
