Switzerland - Spring 2011
Whatever happened to that EG geezer?

I'm sort of back, after a long hibernation. I've actually written quite a lot of stuff over the past 3 months but it never gets finished, so little gets posted.

But it's time to get going again. The November RC Down Under trip looks unlikely to happen for me, but I've been contaminated by the annoying enthusiasm of others, and have started to rebuild my running plans.

I'm booked in for a half marathon at the end of May. Will try to post more info on the main site later.

Must dash. Just been out for a sweaty 4 kms along the lakeside. It's a cool. misty morning here. Perfect for running, and perfect for thinking about running.

More later.

Yes please! Great to see you back wearing out the running kit EC. And don't write off a trip down south in November just yet - hopefully we can rekindle your enthusiasm and make it happen!

We're getting the band back together, oh yes. Cool

I had a long conversation with him yesterday, on the Horgen forest trail. He was in a confused state.

More to be revealed later this evening.

Hold on Suzie -- it's evidently my birthday in Australia, but not here in Ireland, and certainly not in Canada Big Grin

But maybe that's splitting hairs.

Thank you, both.

Looks like I will be celebrating my birthday at Manchester Airport. There's a big public sector strike here tomorrow, and that includes immigration chaps. I've been reading the "Travel chaos looms" news stories with some apprehension.

Need to make sure my Kindle is fully charged.

Five years ago, anyone reading that might have thought you were planning to huddle over an open fire in the departure lounge.

Anyway, happy birthday old chap! Hope the delay isn't too arduous. Our kids are off school tomorrow for the same reason.

Happy Birthday Old Bean. I envy you your trip to the Emerald Isle. I've become accustomed to second rate Guinness. It's high time I got across that stip o water and reminded myself of what a real pint tastes like.

Cheers all.

The Manchester airport experience was far more pleasant than I'd feared. There were no immigration checks at all. I just walked stright from the plane to the exit. From plane to taxi in less than 2 minutes. Hurrah!

I'm tapping away right now.

In fact, the reason I called in was to finally read all the P2P stuff for the mention in the post. So get back to your forum. I'll expect to see you there, standing at the bar with a couple of pints of freshly-poured Guinnesses....

Suspect we'll have to wait a little longer as Messrs Dalglish & Warnock lock horns. Good luck, obviously Big Grin

BTW just got confirmation of where fans can watch their teams in Europe in January.
Arsenal & Chelsea Sky Sports & ITV1
Man City & Man U Channel 5 & ITV4

Liverpool ESPN Classics
