It's taken me about 2 years of collecting (or rather not spending) 5p and 10p peices, (as Sweder will attest ), but my pub-size gallon vodka bottle is finally full.
I assume you will all be suitably underwhelmed. But, I will give £25 to the (UK) charity of choice of the person who guesses closest to how much this is.
The Bard has yet to get to grips with decimal coinage, and one can forgive MLC as he's hardly that familiar with the currency, but for my sake, I hope, with one exception that you are all far too low.
Get a pint glass out, (go on do it!!), then imagine £1 in 10p's and same in 5p's. Then you get an idea how many coins would be necessary to fill that pint glass....then multiply by 8.
Revised guesses are allowed I have an idea how much I'm expecting, and I flippin' well hope I'm more in the ballpark than most of your guesses as I didn't squirrel away silver coins for two years for a measly £100
You're right SP.
I was in the deep haze of a drug-fuelled session when I made my paltry guess. Now the fog has cleared and the last of the uppers has kicked in I'd like to revise my estimate based on a more scientific approach.
£ 13,000
The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph
Seafront Plodder Wrote:[patronisinganaussiemode] In an earlier post in this thread, I let slip that one should imagine the cash in a pint glass, and multiply by eight.
My apologies if the hint wasn't obvious enough. [/patronisinganaussiemode]
