It's a good job the problem's not in the groin really.
I'm not entirely sure but I believe goat-knee soup may produce excess flatulence.
So, as usual, it's swings and round-a-bouts with this one.

Perhaps a better solution would be a chat with a physio.
Knees don't like running, and if you have a history of knee trouble there are a number of strengthening exercises you can do that will allow you to increase your mileage (or kilometerage Sad?). Best of luck.
