Brighton 10K, November 19 2006

There's something peculiarly... pointless about the Brighton 10K, but it's still worth doing.

Yes, mass participation 10Ks can be rather frustrating, as the majority of energy is expended in the elbows. However, I have a theory that in such a short race, pace isn't that important - it should be possible to make up for an enforced slow start, or conversely going off too fast shouldn't be too much of a problem. (The latter is my preferred strategy.)

That's the plan - No. 1 will be hyper, No. 2 will be on solids by then, missus will be frazzled. I might just go and run the course again, it will be more relaxing.
