Andy - we need you!
Just read your commentary for April 1st and it made me feel so sad! I don't know about others (but assume they probably feel as I do) - but I get so much from your writings. You make me laugh and look at the brighter side of life in general and running secondary.

Perhaps you just need to get back to running for the enjoyment of it, and not worry about races or how far you're running...just run whatever! And don't even think about entering any races for now or forever.

And forgetting about running...your writings are inspiring and so interesting no matter what you write about. I hope that I can continue to enjoy them for a long, long time.

April 1st? Is this some Canadian custom? Not sure what it means.

Er, well OK, a bit weedy I admit.

Anyway, nice to hear to hear from you again Suzie.

It's 0635 here on Saturday morning. Not so long ago, this is the time I'd be arriving home after a night on the town. These days, it's when I get up to run. How sad is that....?

Not sad at all. Pretty good really. 15 miles, here I come.....

Cheers

I'm glad Suzie owned up, since you'd got me there, too !

The best April fool I can remember was one time when 1st April fell on a Saturday and Chris Tarrant ran his weekday breakfast show on Capital Radio as normal, claiming it was Friday. Hundreds of people dashed out of bed in a panic all over London to find empty stations and, in a few cases, even to reach empty offices before they realised.

Hope the 15 went well, now that you've safely recovered from Silverstone and Bath.

The 15 became an 11, I'm afraid, once I'd finished mucking about with my camera and recharging _colin, and getting panicky about missing a 10am appointment...

Might try to get out again today.

Phew! It's Sunday and I've just read your April 1st post. I got suckered too!! However you can't claim me as an April Fool because you didn't get me on the day. So glad to hear it was all a joke though. I was just about to offer _colin a new home having made his acquaintance in Bath last month.

Andy, you bastard... you had me too, although I likewise make the feeble excuse of not reading your gut-wrencher until after the dreaded date.

You owe us each a gallon of beer, three scotches and a mogadon.

Actually, make mine a serapax.

Although hot on the heels of the motivational post previously about the running club did seem strange.

Andy, if you do sod off, just make sure you leave us the keys to the drinks cabinet in the moderators room. Big Grin
