The amazing thing about Iceman is not that he runs four marathons in four weeks for charity. The really amazing thing is that he does this with a busted knee, several marathons after the doctors said he would never run again.

It's funny that you thought about me during one of your races, since as luck would have it, I've not been running these last couple of weeks because of a knee injury. Nothing too serious, since I could run if I wanted to, but the pain was exquisite. My admiration for your achievement has gone up at least 600 times, especially on realising that I injured myself by running too far and too soon after my last marathon. That was six miles, a full three weeks after my race. The thought of running three twenty-six mile races in the same period was simply mind-numbing to consider.

Well done on completing your fantastic odyssey, Rick. Words fail me in trying to come up with the right level of compliment.

You did it. Let's hope you can enjoy your running without trying quite so hard to kill yourself in future,,,,
